The parish can speak of a well organised Saunday Daham Pasala conducted by a volunteer group of teachers. Daham Pasala is held on every Sunday at 9 am fallowed by mass for the children. Around 275 students attending and 23 teachers are teaching in the Daham Pasala. The classes are held at Cardinal Cooray Memorial Hall. There is also a parents association to look after the welfare of the Daham Pasal Teachers and the students. They help the parish in organising various activities connected with Daham Pasala. It is our pleasant duty to say a word of since thank for all perpetual help sisters and all volunteer teachers and others who lend us there time and energy to conduct the Daham Pasal in an Organised manner.

History:
The Sunday Catechism School was started during the period of Rev. Fr. Stanley Mellawa, our parish priest. On a humble request made by Rev. Fr. Stanley Mellawa to Mrs. Elizabeth Arangalla to start a Sunday school, she contacted some educated young girls and boys in the Parish and formed the Sunday school. Rev.
